We Are Green Bay featured GLK Foods on their Made in Wisconsin segment. The world’s largest producer of sauerkraut, GLK Foods, is a fourth generation company that started in 1900. The sauerkraut business started way back when there was a glut of cabbage. They decided to make sauerkraut to use up inventory.
The video segment takes a look at the Bear Creek facility. Watch as GLK Foods’ sauerkraut is jarred on the production line. WFRV interviews Ryan Downs, GLK Foods’ President, to learn more about a new product, a convenient, single-serve pickle in a pouch. Based in Appleton, Wisconsin, this sauerkraut-producing company has expanded to include dill pickles.
