My whole life, I’ve never liked sauerkraut much. It was for putting on brats, and that’s it. And, it kinda stunk. That’s all I knew. One day, my coworker brought in a treat: Sauerkraut Cupcakes, which didn’t make sense to me. How could these two things go together? Then, I tried one and it was delicious. I hardly tasted anything that reminded me of sauerkraut. It was sweet like a cupcake. I was expecting sour. So, I had to find out more about cooking with kraut. I knew it was good for you, but I was shocked at all the ways it can be served.
